A challenge for a lot of free / community Radios is the training of new participants in the field of digital editing. Sometimes this is caused by the use of proprietary Software, the lack of adequate translation of the software or simply because the files needed for the instalcomlation are not available. All these problems are solved if you use Audacity.

Audacity is free open source software for editing sounds on several tracks. Audacity can record, play and edit words and music. It is published under the GPL license runs on different platforms and is free. It is the most popular editing software within GNU/Linux and it is available for Windows and MAC. Since the Version 2.0 Audacity is a real alternative to commercial software in the field of audio editing.

Even though the software is translated into almost 50 languages there is a lack of documentation  especially training material for new radio-activists. That is the reason why we decided to translate this Manual which was originally written in German into Spanish. Since an English translation was already completed by Susan Jones and Jan Aniobi we complement the publication of the Spanish Manual here with the English counterpart.

The Manual is published under the the Creative Commons: Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0) license.
